Wow, this took me a while to finish. Sorry for the long wait!

Coloring comission for *Marto's amazing "Vampyr in Pagoda Garden". Made some minor adjustments regarding the shrine's perspective and the vampire's face.. really hope Marto doesn't mind. Also exchanged the original bonsai tree for a zen-like pile or rocks, because I suck at drawing trees. Hope the rocks don't create too strong a contrast!

I especially loved doing the tiny details in the waistcoat and jacket, though I'm not fully satisfied about how his facial expression turned out. Every attempt at improvement turned out worse, I just had to stick with this :P

Perhaps the only thing that I have to share in terms of a critique, is the face, since it seems like the confidence in it wasn't prominent as with the rest of the image, but you mentioned that you kept working on it and it just resisted being changed. Yet still, just everything else in the image is flawless! I absolutely adore the zen garden, the idea is far better than the decrepit banzai tree that I had there! I love the idea! I really wish I could have thought of that! The colors are fantastic! Choosing a warm chocolate high contrast for the wood color atop a super ocean blue for the night-shaded sand, the olive-tinted roof-color, the adjustment you made to my heavily contorted and rather bad mistake in the upper corner by coloring it is also something no one would notice but me, so thank you for that too! :P

Most of all, I adore the jet black hair and free execution of the browned-red vest, and black attire for the rest. It's risky, and it sticks out great, since the brown wood gives the black figure a halo-ed effect! I'm just in awe at how cool this turned out!

and somehow he reminds me to neclord, a vampire from suikoden series. LOL
